Following Tim Iverson’s departure, the WLPOA Board has appointed Gavin McGowan to fill the vacant Board position for the remainder of the current term, which runs through Summer 2027. As outlined in our governing documents, vacancies on the Board are filled by the remaining Directors to ensure continuity of leadership.
First, we want to sincerely thank Tim for his service to Whisper Lake. He brought a steady, thoughtful approach to the role, reviewing financials, supporting Board decisions, and helping guide the community through a number of important discussions. We appreciate the time and care he invested on behalf of all owners.
We are very pleased to welcome Gavin to the Board.
Gavin brings over 30 years of experience leading sales and marketing teams, with a strong background in financial oversight, strategy, and building high performing organizations. He has worked across both established and emerging companies and now runs his own consulting firm supporting life science organizations.
Gavin, his wife Ronessa, and their children, Liam and Lilah, have been part of the Whisper Lake community since 2023 and became full time residents in October 2024. After experiencing significant damage to their home in Florida, they made the move here and have been welcomed with open arms. We are grateful to have them as part of this community.
With Gavin joining the Board, all three current Board members are now full time residents. This gives the Board consistent, day to day visibility into the community and a shared commitment to being present and engaged.
