The Communications Committee provides useful information concerning safety, security and events in our community. As a property owner in Whisper Lake, you have the ability to receive and have posted community e-mails. Items such as boil water notices and safety issues will be sent out as soon as practical, and if we have knowledge of them.
All emails sent on at the request of a community member must have Board approval. You may submit your message to the board prior to sending it to the Communications committee, or we can do it on your behalf. Below is a list of allowable items and a small list of items which will not be allowed. If you wish for us to send an e-mail blast that falls under our criteria, please contact us at
Allowed Items:
- Missing/Found: Animals, children, adults
- Information on water outages and boil water notices.
- Serious area road problems; trees, power lines down, wash-outs, flooding
- Security/public safety issues
- Community-wide volunteer requests such as work groups, beach clean-up, fish stocking, etc.
- Community-wide garage/yard sales (
- Social gatherings open to all members of the Whisper Lake community, such as ladies lunch, drinks on the dock, etc.
- Lost/found items of value
- Seasonal, wildlife and landscape photos
- Items at direction/discretion of Board
Not Allowed:
- Real estate sales and rental information
- Items for sale
- Complaints
- Personal attacks or criticism
Additionally, any photos featuring people or properties will not be used except with the express permission of the people featured and/or owner(s) of the property.
